5 Productivity Tools for Entrepreneurs

As an entrepreneur, you have so much to do and so little time to do it all. You have to work smarter, not harder. Being busy doesn’t mean being productive. The best way to cut down on time spent working on your business is to use productivity tools. Here are some of my favorites that will keep you productive:

Asana

Asana is a project and task management tool that allows for easy team communication. The social team uses it religiously to make sure one-off and repeatable tasks are always completed on time. It’s perfect for what we do because there are so many tasks that need to happen on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, and Asana never lets you forget them!

CoSchedule

I like CoSchedule so much that I wrote a whole blog post about it! CoSchedule is a living, breathing content calendar that connects to all the things you need. It integrates seamlessly with WordPress, social media, Google Calendar, Evernote, Google Analytics, and much more. I can’t say enough about CoSchedule and since I started using it, I can’t imagine life without it.

Hootsuite

Have a ton of social accounts to manage? Sick of being on-call because you need to post something on Facebook and Twitter at 4PM? Hootsuite makes scheduling social media posts extremely easy. You can connect all your social profiles to one Hootsuite account. You can schedule as many posts as you’d like, and even schedule the same message for multiple profiles at the same time. You can even “autoschedule”, meaning Hootsuite will choose the ideal time to publish your post. It’s also a great way to see and monitor all social happenings across all your profiles at the same time.

Basecamp

This tool works very well if you are working on a team and have a multitude of large projects always being worked on. Within a project you can add task lists, discussions, text documents, events, and files. It keeps everything in one place (a project) and keeps everyone aware of what’s going on.

SproutSocial

Do you feel like you can never keep up with monitoring comments on your social profiles? Mentions and retweets on Twitter, comments on your Facebook page and Instagram, who can keep up? Don’t you wish you had it all in one place? SproutSocial does that and much more. SproutSocial gathers all comments, mentions, retweets, interactions, and even specified keywords into one task list so you can respond efficiently. In addition to that, it provides excellent social reporting so you can see how you’re doing in terms of engagement, response rate, and growth.
